Do I need a credit card to start?
+
No. Apoxy is invite-only during the beta, so you start with an access request. After a
founder sets up your account, deploy a worker and send traffic — all on the Free tier.
We'll only ask for a card if you upgrade to Standard or push past the included bucket.
What counts as “bandwidth”?
+
The bytes that cross between our proxies and your clients — request bodies, response
bodies, TLS overhead, headers, all of it. Each billing period we total client-ingress
and client-egress separately and bill whichever is larger; we never add the two
together. Traffic between our proxies and your origin is always free.
Can I cap overage so I never get a surprise bill?
+
Yes. In the dashboard you can set a hard cap (we serve 429 once you hit it) or a soft
cap (we email you, but keep serving). Both default to your monthly bucket on Free, and
to no cap on Standard — flip them whenever.
How do the plans relate to VPC?
+
The plan prices cover traffic through our edge proxies: bandwidth, logs and gateways.
VPC endpoints, relay traffic between endpoints and fixed egress IPs do not have public
prices yet. Request access with your fleet size, and a founder will
quote your VPC with your plan.
Is there a per-seat or per-app fee?
+
No. Add as many teammates and projects as you want — billing is purely usage-based.
Can I run Apoxy in my own VPC?
+
Yes, on Premium. We ship a Helm chart and a Terraform module that deploy our control
plane and data plane into an EKS / GKE / AKS cluster you operate. Pricing in that mode
is per-vCPU, not per-GB.
How does support work?
+
Free: best-effort via the community Slack. Standard: email support from our engineers
with a one-business-day SLA. Premium: private channel, phone escalation, and a 24×7
pager SLA.
